  • Eco-responsible management for a more sustainable establishment

    As part of our commitment to the circular economy, we have rethought the management of our establishment to reduce our environmental impact. These new measures not only improve our efficiency but also encourage our employees and guests to adopt more responsible practices. Photo credit: Émilie Gendron A paperless management policy We have significantly reduced our paper consumption thanks to our new paperless management policy. We now process emails digitally without printing them, encourage guests to receive their invoices by email, and prioritize recycled paper for documents that require printing. These efforts help us conserve resources while optimizing our administrative processes. Optimized waste management To facilitate waste sorting in the rooms, we have added an extra trash bin. Previously, each room had a trash bin in the bathroom and a recycling bin in the main area. Now, this additional bin allows for more efficient waste sorting right from the start. We have also removed plastic bags from the recycling bins to reduce our use of single-use plastics. New sorting stations for everyone To further improve waste management, we have installed sorting stations in strategic public areas, including near the reception and outside. These facilities help our guests and employees properly sort their waste and actively contribute to our environmental initiatives. Through these initiatives, we continue our transition toward more sustainable and efficient management, in line with our ecological values. Together, small actions can make a big impact!

  • Information, awareness, and education: Strengthening our commitment

    As part of our circular economy project, we have implemented several initiatives to better inform and educate our guests and employees. Clear understanding of sustainable practices is essential to ensuring active and lasting participation. Pictograms for Better Understanding To make it easier to adopt our eco-friendly practices, we have added pictograms in key locations. These visual symbols allow our guests and employees to quickly understand the right actions to take, whether it’s waste sorting, energy conservation, or responsible resource use. Policies Displayed in Rooms and the Service Guide To reinforce our message, some of our environmental policies are now displayed directly in the rooms—either framed on the wall or included in the service guide. These subtle yet effective reminders encourage our guests to adopt eco-friendly behaviors throughout their stay. Annual Training for Our Employees We believe that commitment starts from within. That’s why we provide annual training to all our employees to strengthen their knowledge of the circular economy. This training ensures better implementation of our policies and helps maintain a company culture focused on sustainability. By combining these actions, we aim to raise awareness and foster a better understanding of the small steps that make a big difference. Together, let’s move towards a more responsible future!!

By introducing new sorting stations and raising awareness among our team and customers, we have significantly reduced the amount of waste sent to landfills. Responsible purchasing We now prioritize local suppliers and eco-friendly products to minimize our environmental impact. Our purchasing criteria include the use of recycled materials, a low carbon footprint, and recognized environmental certifications. Eco-design Our facilities and services are being redesigned to incorporate eco-design principles. We focus on solutions that reduce energy and resource consumption while enhancing the customer experience. This includes choosing sustainable materials and optimizing designs to minimize waste. Equipment replacement We have launched a gradual program to replace our equipment with more energy-efficient alternatives. This includes low-water and low-energy consumption appliances, as well as more efficient and environmentally friendly heating and cooling systems. Donations to organizations Instead of discarding functional equipment and supplies, we prioritize donations to local organizations. This initiative helps extend the lifespan of items while supporting the community and reducing waste. With these new policies, we continue our commitment to a more sustainable and responsible model.
