From Motel Wigwam to Motel Centre-Ville

Built in 1961 by Mr. Laurent Dionne, the Motel Wigwam underwent two other transformations to now have 22 lodging units.

In 1973, a first expansion increased the number of rooms from 10 to 15. On April 11, 1975, Mr. Dionne decided to sell it to Fernand Bernier who added 7 other units to the west in 1979 and resold it in 1981 to Mr. Antoine Boulanger.

In 1991 it will be sold again to Mr. Raymond Morin who will keep it until 1994.

Mr. Alain Coulombe became the owner from 1994 to 2006, until Nathalie Bernier and Richard Lachance took possession of the building, which celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2016. That same year, the owners renamed the establishment for the Friendly motel.

At the end of 2018, Mrs. Bernier and Mr. Lachance sold the Motel Sympathique to Mr. Yvon Boulet and Mrs. Chantal Clavet, owners of the Hôtel Centre-Ville located just across from the other side of Boulevard Taché Est. They decided to rename the establishment Motel Centre-Ville, knowing that the two establishments will be managed jointly.

Since then, under the direction of the owners' son, Mr. Antoine-Samuel Boulet, the establishment has been refreshed and modernized in order to enhance the stay of visitors.
